Ken Natsuga is a board certified dermatologist at the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, Sapporo, Japan. He received his M.D. degree from Hokkaido University in 2003. He researched the pathomechanisms of epidermolysis bullosa and bullous pemphigoid and received his Ph.D. from Hokkaido University in 2010 under the supervision of Prof. Hiroshi Shimizu. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher (Prof. Fiona Watt lab) at the Cancer Research UK, Cambridge, UK in 2010-2012. After returning to Japan, he was appointed as an assistant professor and was later promoted to senior associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine. His research interests include blistering diseases, epidermal homeostasis and wound healing.
