Dr. Kanokvalai Kulthanan is a Professor of Dermatology, Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. She is the Secretary General of the Dermatological Society of Thailand and scientific subcommittee of the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society of Thailand. She received her MD with the first class of honor from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. After receiving the Thai Board of Dermatology, she had been a research fellow in Kyoto University and Johns Hopkins University in the field of dermatoimmunology.
Dr. Kulthanan has authored more than 100 international publications. Her special area of interest is cutaneous allergy and immunology especially urticaria and atopic dermatitis. She is the editor and the key author of the textbook “Urticaria” which consists of 454 pages in Thai language. She is the chair of the Thailand committee for clinical practice guideline for urticaria. She has been a member of several scientific associations including the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Allergy and Immunology. She is one of the Steering Committee of GA2LEN UCARE (Urticaria Center of Reference and Excellence).
