MARIA JULIET ENRIQUEZ-MACARAYO, MD. Born and raised in Manila. Elementary and
secondary education attained at College of the Holy Spirit. Premedical and medical years
garnered from the University of Santo Tomas. Dermatology Residency obtained at Jose R Reyes
Medical Center. Practicing Clinical Dermatology at Pampanga for 25 years now with consultancy
affiliation at Angeles University Foundation Medical Center. Active with the Philippine
Dermatological Society, American Academy of Dermatology and the International Society of
Dermatology, being the Editor-in-Chief of PDS Skincontact and Asst. Editor-in-Chief of
ISDConnection and the Scientific Committee Chair of the recently concluded 2017 PDS 40th
Annual Convention and the upcoming 2018 PDS 41st Annual Convention in collaboration with
the International Society of Dermatology. Presently working with several interest groups and
serving as advisory board member for the pharmaceutical industry. Writing and editing are
fractions of her world, being the co-editor of the 2017 Melasma and Vitiligo in Brown Skin
Springer book and contributor to several book chapters and on-line dermatology infosource.
Giving lectures and teaching are another fraction but a passion, being part of the Dermatology
Core Group at Angeles University Foundation College of Medicine and Medical Center. Her
growing family, a brood of 2 children and 6 grandchildren, nurtured together with her
anesthesiologist husband is the greatest fraction of her life.
